Introduction to media representation

LO:to explore the concept of representation and stereotypes

Representation: the media offers the audience an interpretation of the world. it is a RE PRESENTATION of events, people and places.

Stereotypical: a stereotype is a generalised representation of a person place or thing they are limited and often offensive or used for comedy.

Nanny: a weak female.
Nurse: a women , stupid 
Teenager: argumentative, moody,
Astronuat:a male,white,strong
Football player: egotistical, athletic, male, rich
Opera fan:posh white old man
Teacher: strict,boring,old
Tatto lover: a criminal, drug dealer

1.  they are sort of reinforced with some streotipical students but some that are not.\
2. they act interested and willing to learn but others are moody and missing about and they speak in a moody bored tone. the year 9 girls are presented as loud and naughty.
3.they say how one student loved their teacher wich brakes the stereotype and as peope have different accents with deeper and higher voices with casual voices.


the year 9 girls are represented as loud and naughty.the new teacher is being represented like a comedian and excited but also stressed it show a stereotype that new teachers cant control their classrooms.

Top charts 3. they all had a lot of red and black and bits of white with a san serif font.  I prefer the top one as it is in better detail but needs some more work as it also has a slogan.

  Do Now Photoshop Skills Tasks LO: To use and develop creative techniques in photoshop A lot of the colour in these poster are often dark colours with a lot of red with fonts telling you about what the movie might be which are normally all in caps. the images include a lot of faces and blood. Theoretical Framework

  Wednesday 21 September  2021 LO: To apply the theoretical framework to media texts. Media Language   All the different elements used to construct any media product. Camerawork establishing shot tells us the place time and scale of the area and enviroment. The wide places a person in a certain place. Long shot is when someones or things enter body is in the shot but it doesn't have to be central. Medium long shot is a shot from the top of there dace to mostly there waist and is used to present someone with confidents. Mid shot is a neutural is form the body just to there head and is used to show different objectives in a shot. Close up is from mid chest to above there head is to capture good reaction. Close up shot is used to show a dramatic change in emotion and is used in a time of decision. extreme close up is normally on the eyes to see where someone is looking.
